Tracheostomy and Ventilation Courses

1. Who should take these courses?

These courses are designed for healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with tracheostomies and/or mechanical ventilation. This may include nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians, allied health professionals, and community care providers.

2. Where do I find my courses in the Learning Management System (LMS)?

After registering, you will receive instructions on accessing the LMS. Once logged in, your assigned courses can be found under "My Courses" or your learner's dashboard. Please ensure that you use the same email address you registered with when accessing the LMS.

3. Do I need previous experience with tracheostomy or ventilation care?

No. Our courses are suitable for both beginners and experienced healthcare providers. Course content is tailored to build foundational knowledge while also reinforcing best practices and clinical decision-making.

4. Is there a hands-on component to the training?

Yes. Participants will have the opportunity to practice skills using simulation equipment and realistic clinical scenarios in the in-person class. Hands-on learning is an important component of both the tracheostomy and ventilation courses.

5. Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. Participants who attend the full course and successfully complete the required activities will receive a certificate of completion after the session.

6. What should I bring to the course?

Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for simulation-based learning. Any required pre-course materials or instructions will be provided in your confirmation email prior to the course date.
